The dynamics of planning and executing a wedding come down to a few factors in most cases. These include budget, level of extravagance, access to vendors, and (let’s be honest) family relationships. Let’s examine each of these a little deeper. No one expects you to be an expert in getting married. If you do it right we only do it once. Let the wedding planner be the expert to help you with all the things that you didn’t even know you needed help with. From hiring a full wedding planner before finding any other vendor to hiring a day of wedding planner last minute after realizing the stress that is the planning process, a planner is going to help you make your wedding day stress- less and joyful.

Let’s talk budget. Saving money where you can is often a hard truth that many couples wish wasn’t part of the story and wedding planners are often left off of the list because we live in a “DIY” world and often have eager friends or family members who are more than willing to be the point person for your special day! The reality, though, is that often times planners will save you money along the way and will more than pay for themselves with their ability to help you find and vet vendors that are exactly what you are looking for from price to vision. Their extensive network of vendors that they have worked with and vetted will allow for both price and vision to be cohesive. They can also save you money elsewhere as some venues and vendors give discounts for utilizing a planner and planners can often include some things that would otherwise cost money in their packages. This can be anything from cake cutting to packing up decor at the end of the night and coordinating with rental companies to avoid overage charges.
Let’s talk extravagance. Alot of planning companies have decor at their disposal and can source what they may not have for your vision. The more elaborate your design the more help a planner will be but even with a simple design a planner can give you tips to elevate the design from DIY to simple elegance! They also have awesome connections to help you have anything from a beer donkey from Kansas City Reindeer to a white bounce house from Boss Babe Balloon co and more.
Access to vendors. Some planners have connections that go beyond discounts and are relationships with industry experts that are going to level up your experience. From production companies like Elevate DJ and Levity Events to specialty vendors like Sugar and Sky Cotton Candy and Kul and Krafty live painting. Wedding planners like Philosofi Celebrations brings amazing relationships built on trust and reliability to your day that will reduce stress and there will be things that you don’t even know you don’t have to think about.
Family relationships. Often times a wedding can have added bliss when combining two families, your families are a huge part of the excitement and process and unfortunately can also add alot of stress. Planners are a guiding light and the go to for all things family debate. They can help you take emotion out of conversations that may be hard to have and also can just be the “bad guy” if needed. You give them your vision and if it doesn’t line up the planner can often smooth things over in a way that makes sense to everyone.
So whether you are hiring a full wedding planner before your venue to hiring a day of planner last minute after realizing the stress that is the planning process, a planner is going to help you make your wedding day magical.
